Clothing is the second-biggest category in the Yupoo world after shoes, and it's where batch quality matters most in a way people underestimate — because with apparel, the giveaway isn't the shape, it's the fabric. A great-looking jacket in photos can feel completely wrong in person if the factory used the wrong weight of fleece or a thin shell. That's why the factories below are chosen for material accuracy, not just print quality, and why QC on clothing focuses on touch and weight as much as looks.

What to QC on clothing (it's different from shoes)
Apparel QC is about materials and construction, not silhouette. When we send your photos, check these:
- Fabric weight and texture — the number-one tell. A Stone Island jacket or Tech Fleece set lives or dies on the right fabric weight. Ask for close-ups and, if unsure, weight photos.
- Print and embroidery — BAPE camo alignment, Supreme box-logo placement, brand text spacing. Misaligned prints are the obvious giveaway.
- Tags and labels — wash tags, size tags and brand tags should match retail layout and font.
- Hardware — zippers (correct branding and smooth action), buttons, Moncler arm badges, Stone Island compass patch attachment.
- Stitching — even, tight, no loose threads at seams and hems.
Batch tiers for clothing
| Tier | What changes | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Top tier | Correct fabric weight, accurate prints, retail-matching tags and hardware | Statement pieces you wear often — jackets, hero hoodies |
| Premium | Very close materials, occasional minor tag difference | Everyday tees, hoodies, the sensible default |
| Standard | Lighter fabric, simpler finishing | Trying a print or colour on a budget |
Sizing apparel from Chinese factories
This is the single most important clothing tip: Chinese sizing runs smaller than US/EU sizing. A factory "L" often fits like a US "M." Always order by the measurements (chest width, length, sleeve) listed in the album rather than the letter size, and if you're between sizes or want an oversized streetwear fit, size up. Tech Fleece and boxy streetwear are meant to fit loose, so factor that in. When in doubt, send us your measurements and we'll match the right size before buying — getting this wrong is the most common avoidable clothing mistake.
Why fabric weight is the whole game with apparel
It's worth dwelling on this because it's the mistake that disappoints first-time clothing buyers most. With shoes, a good photo tells you most of what you need to know. With clothing, photos can deceive — a thin, papery jacket and a properly weighted one can look identical on screen, and the difference only reveals itself when you put it on. A real Stone Island shell has a specific density and drape; a real Tech Fleece has three bonded layers that give it structure. Lower batches cut cost by using thinner fabric, and that's exactly what ruins the look in person. This is why our clothing QC asks for fabric close-ups and, when there's any doubt, photos on a scale — and why for any statement outerwear piece we steer buyers toward top tier. For a t-shirt you'll wear under a jacket, standard is fine; for the jacket itself, the fabric is the entire point.
How clothing shipping works
Clothing is generally light, which makes it cheap to ship — but it can be bulky, and couriers bill by volumetric weight as well as actual weight. A puffer jacket takes up space even though it weighs little, so it can cost more than its weight suggests. The fixes are the same as the rest of the catalog: consolidate multiple pieces into one parcel, and let us remove unnecessary packaging. A Tech Fleece set plus a couple of tees ships very cheaply consolidated; the same items sent one at a time cost far more. Three or more items ship free. Use the shipping calculator for a country estimate, and remember you can mix clothing with shoes in the same parcel.
Most-requested clothing right now
Many of the hottest streetwear pieces come from named sellers buyers search for directly — Angel King for Denim Tears, pika and Husky for Sp5der, Corteiz and Hellstar. If you're chasing a specific store, our Yupoo sellers directory breaks down who specializes in what. The current most-requested items overall:
- Nike Tech Fleece sets — the perennial best-seller; order hoodie and joggers together for matching wash.
- Stone Island — jackets and the badge sweatshirts; fabric weight is everything here.
- Moncler — down jackets; check baffle stitching and the arm badge.
- BAPE & Supreme — camo and box-logo pieces; print alignment is the QC focus.
- Essentials / Fear of God — minimalist fits where fabric drape matters most.
Ready to order? Browse an album, then message us on WhatsApp. One piece ships; three or more items ship free, and you can mix clothing with shoes in one parcel.
One last tip that saves disappointment: if you're ordering a full outfit — say a jacket, a hoodie and a pair of jeans — send us all the links together and tell us the look you're going for. We can check that the pieces work as a set (colours that actually match in person, fits that layer properly) before anything is bought, rather than you discovering at home that two "blacks" are different shades. Coordinating a fit across factories is exactly the kind of thing an experienced agent catches that a self-checkout never would.
