Watches are the most technical category in the Yupoo world, because a watch has a hidden half: the movement. Two watches can look identical in photos and be completely different in quality and reliability depending on what's ticking inside. That's why watch buyers talk about "tiers" differently — the conversation is about the movement (the mechanism) as much as the dial and case. The factory below specializes in watches, and our QC reflects the extra technical care this category needs.

Know the reference you want? Send it on WhatsApp and we'll advise on the best movement tier for that model.
Movement tiers — the thing that actually matters
| Tier | Movement | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Top tier (super clone) | Clone movement (e.g. VSF, Clean, ZF factory) | Movement mirrors the genuine calibre's architecture; best accuracy and reliability, closest to the real thing. |
| Premium | Upgraded Asian automatic (e.g. Seagull, SH3135) | Reliable automatic movement, good daily accuracy at a lower price. |
| Standard | Basic automatic / quartz | Looks right, entry-level mechanism. Fine for occasional wear. |
Factory names like VSF, Clean, ZF and BP refer to the makers known for specific models — Clean is famed for certain Rolex sports models, for example. Tell us the watch you want and we'll tell you which factory does that reference best.
What to QC on watches
- Dial — printing sharpness, correct font, applied indices aligned, date wheel font and alignment in the window.
- Case and bezel — correct proportions, bezel action and click count (for dive watches), polished/brushed finishing in the right zones.
- Cyclops and crystal — date magnification correct, sapphire crystal clarity.
- Weight — a genuine-feeling watch has heft; cheap cases feel light. We can provide weight info.
- Movement check — for top-tier pieces, the smooth sweep of the second hand and timekeeping over a day.
- Bracelet and clasp — link finishing, clasp engraving and action.
Why the movement matters more than the looks
This is the concept that separates happy watch buyers from disappointed ones. A watch's case and dial determine how it looks; its movement determines whether it actually works well — keeps accurate time, winds smoothly, and lasts. Two watches can be visually identical and behave completely differently because one has a basic movement and the other a clone calibre engineered to mirror the genuine mechanism. For a watch you'll wear daily and rely on, the movement tier is the spend that matters; a beautiful dial on an unreliable movement is a frustrating ownership experience. This is the opposite of, say, a t-shirt, where what you see is what you get. With watches, half the product is hidden, which is exactly why we talk you through movement options for your specific reference rather than just quoting the cheapest version.
A note on servicing and longevity
Mechanical watches, including clone-movement pieces, benefit from the same basic care as any automatic: avoid magnets, don't adjust the date late at night when the movement is mid-cycle, and give it gentle treatment. Top-tier clone movements are designed to be serviceable, and a good one can run reliably for years with normal care. We'll tell you honestly which movement tiers are built to last versus which are better for occasional wear, so you can match your choice to how you'll actually use the watch. As with every category, the goal is that you're happy with the piece long after it arrives — not just impressed in the QC photos.
Most-requested watches
- Rolex — Submariner, Datejust, Daytona, GMT-Master; the most-asked-for by far.
- Audemars Piguet — Royal Oak; the integrated bracelet finishing is the QC focus.
- Patek Philippe — Nautilus and Aquanaut; dial texture is everything.
- Omega — Seamaster and Speedmaster; popular and well-made at premium tier.
Shipping watches safely
Watches are small and high-value, so we pack them carefully and ship via insured express courier. Because they're light, shipping cost is modest, but we recommend the insured option given the value. As with everything, you approve QC photos before the watch leaves China, and we can provide extra close-ups of the dial, movement and clasp on request.
Ready to order? Browse the watch catalog, then message us on WhatsApp with the reference you want. We'll recommend the right movement tier and quote it with no markup.
If you're new to mechanical watches entirely, don't worry about getting the terminology right when you message us — just tell us the model you like and how you plan to wear it (daily driver, occasional dress watch, a piece to try the hobby), and we'll translate that into the right movement tier and explain the trade-offs in plain language. There's no expectation that you arrive knowing what a clone calibre is. The whole point of going through an agent who knows the category is that you get honest guidance instead of having to become an expert first, and we'd rather you order the watch that fits how you'll actually use it than the most expensive one on the page.
